Itinerary

Briefing on the unique cultural systems and pristine environments of the Far-West frontier.
Catch a flight to the far-western plains city of Dhangadhi.
A long, beautiful 8-hour drive up into the hills along the border highway.
Begin walking along the pristine, rushing Chameliya River tracks to Makarighat.
Climb steep paths through untouched oak and rhododendron forests to Sithi.
Walk past local high pasture grazing lands to the holy river confluence at Domal.
Open up into the vast alpine valley of Api Base Camp (3,860m) under massive mountain walls.
Visit holy local lakes and view the huge glaciers tumbling off Mount Api.
Begin the descent back, tracking paths down out of the high alpine meadows.
Finish the trail walking leg descending down to the river transport lines.
Return drive across the winding hill highways back to the plains hotel.
Fly back to Kathmandu and pick up scheduled airport transfers.
